    I picked up two bottles of this magical whiskey last year and I'm about 1/3 the way through the first bottle. It truly is a wonderful dram to enjoy very rarely. I love that you've opened yours as well! Exactly the way it should be. Drink the glory!

    You gotta try it mixed with Vernors ginger ale. The recipe i use is ice (not too much in the glass) + one shot of JD Tennessee Honey, and just fill the rest up with Vernors. I don't have it a lot, but it blows my mind every time. JDTH by itself though is awesome too, and it's my fave from Jack.

    I’m interested to try this on my journey to find a more affordable Drambuie, but the lack of the supposed base ingredient’s flavor is always the issue, as is the absence of depth-of-flavor. When I drink Drambuie, there is absolutely no doubt I’m drinking scotch. When I drink Wild Turkey American Honey, I’m drinking honey liqueur that might possibly have been in the vicinity of some whiskey. I still like the Wild Turkey, but I’m thinking Drambuie might just be a good example of “you get what you pay for.” Thanks for the vid!

    This is my Most Favorite Whiskey ❤ Red Tennessee Fire Cinnamon 🔥 😋 I can Understand you it's reminds me also about something old which I taste During watching your Review mine was also the same reaction like yours when I fast tasted it's tasted soo good at palate and it's have A Aftertaste in it which is so remarkable due to it's Smooth Cinnamon flavor and smooth fiery taste makes it Awesome Than Honey which has very Sugary flavor in it but I like This Fire Tennessee 🔥 It taste Best with Coke Actually making cocktail is The Best Option. Your Reviews are very Honest I like it keep it up pls make an Review on Jack Daniel Apple Whiskey.

    If the macallan oscuro is said to be from 1987 to 1997, the more recent editions, should be older than the previous ones, since the release of the old bottling, in 2010?

    Why would you ever water down such an expensive whiskey

    • @WhiskyBarsAroundTheWorld
      @WhiskyBarsAroundTheWorld 3 роки тому

      Hi Matt, I think it comes down to personal preferences. Most experts will tell you that a bit of water will open the whiskey up and expose more flavours. There was actually research completed that said the optimal alcohol content for whiskey was 35%. That is, at 35% ABV you were able to get the maximum flavours out of the whisky. Ice is another item that often brings out arguments. The primary argument is that your sense of smell makes up a large portion of your taste and that if the whiskey is too cool then it evaporates less and so you lose out on the taste. I am OK with that argument - but it gets pretty hot in Sydney and I think drinking whiskey that is 35 degrees Celsius is just too hot. I have actually been in a bar in Sydney where I would swear the bottle they poured the whisky from was well over 40 degrees Celsius. But at the end of they day - if you like it drink it. And thanks for commenting :)

Johnnie Walker just released an updated version of black label sherry "finish" in taiwan (It spent 9 months in sherry cask before bottling....longer then previous available sherry "edition" ) it contains malts from Clynelish,Cardhu,Glenkinchie,Caol Ila and grain from cameronbridge ( Different from sherry "edition" and standard black label) , it may will be available worldwide later.

    6+ minutes in before we get past the packaging & plastic, roughly 3 minutes left as the pour occurs. A dram this expensive & (yes) pretentious deserves more time on the Scotch and less attention to plastic covering the shiny bits...

    I live near Lynchburg, Tennessee. That is a substantually rare bottle of Jack Daniels. Unopened worth a lot of money and individually numbered. Only 24,000 bottles of it were ever made (100 barrels worth). I bought me a bottle of it when it was released in 2015 and later had the Master Distiller of Jack Daniels sign it. These days I have seen it sell upwards of $1500/bottle (unsigned).

    thanks for the review on this. may I ask a couple questions. 1. is this at 40% or 43? Also, does it have a malty development in the mid palette or does it just stay the same throughout entry? Cheers from canada!

    • @WhiskyBarsAroundTheWorld
      @WhiskyBarsAroundTheWorld 4 роки тому

      I just popped my bottle open again. It is 40%. There is sweetness as you initially sip it Amongst the other flavours I can detect a mild malty development mid way. This is then drowned by the rich spicy and smokey flavours which then fade away. You can then catch echos of the malt peaking through the peat again after the spices fade leaving a nice tang to your lips.
